Extension Web Site Update
UVM Extension has updated and improved their web site. The home link has not changed, but new graphics and a new layout have been added. Sheep and goats can now be found under the heading Agriculture, in the Livestock section. 4-H Sheep project information can be found under the heading Youth, in the Programs and Projects section.
If anyone has exceptional photos of Vermont sheep related activities that they would like to share in the Sheep and Goat section please forward them to Chet Parsons.

The Good Ol’ Days
It wasn’t long ago that shearing was done by hand and parasite control involved forcing the sheep into a trench full of whatever the concoction of era was. As modern day shepherds we may think that we have a busy spring with shearing, hoof trimming, lambing, worming, and fence fixing. Just imagine having to do this.
Note the enthusiastic 4-H youngsters just waiting to help.
